I usually generate one float, and put two floats (or more) inside that, with
a horizontal quad space between them. That way I have one caption for the
two related figures. You can of course also just put the two floats not
inside another with the space, and that will work as well, just as Alan has

I am using book(KOMA-script) and I want to have a separate List of Appendices.
I have no problems in defining appendices (from the menu

a. The appendices are listed in TOC, how can I prevent this?
