Hi - is there a way or best practice to control the size of exported (pdf
cropped) equations such that they become a specific or at least consistent font
height from one pdf to another?

url=false works :) Thank you.
However, this works only globally.
I would like that url=false is just applied when I use \bibentry{xyz},
not in the proper bibliography at the end...
