Why did you choos brazil2 instead of brazil.kmap? What's the
difference in terms of ease of use? Are there of brazilian
users out there who could comment?
OK, let's see the differences
In brazil.kmap we have:
\kmod ' acute aeioucAEIOUC
\kmod ` grave aA
\kmod ~ tilde aoAO
\kmod ^

Ok, let's try several things to see if we can't isolate the problem.
1. In LyX, type the following in ERT (TeX mode, keyboard shortcut Ctrl-L):
c{C} \c{c}. You should see a capital C-cedilla and a lower case c-cedilla. So
if all else fails,

Do you have problems with other applications? What version of xforms
do you use (lyx -flversion)?
I use xform 0.89 and I compile from tar.gz and lyx too.

I had LinuxPPC on this machine, but I upgrade ( reinstall) with Mandrake PPC 8.0 with
kernel 2.4.18
Thanks, Alexandre Gonçalves Jacarandá
Did you upgrade only lyx, or your whole operating system?
