I downloaded an apa layout file from the web, placed it in the right

I cannot access apa layout when I open Documents/layouts

When I convert to pdf using the built in export function from the menu
of Lyx 1.3 I get hideously jagged fonts. Anybody know why? What can I
do about it?

/.../winword.exe and to convert
the text to rtf or html.
The easiest way for me:
antiword file.doc file.txt
Then import text file into lyx and do the rest by hand. I've found
that wv often turns windows tables to gibberish. Antiword produces
nice text and keeps the paragraph formatting.

This document uses an unknown textclass hollywood...
Anybody know how to fix this. I tried running reconfigure under the edit

When I convert a lyx doc to pdf, nothing shows up under acroread. I'm
assuming the pdf is using type 3 fonts. Is there something I can do
about this?

Hollywood class adds extra vertical space after character names. In a
correct screenplay format, dialog follows names on the very next
line, without any added space.
Anybody know how to fix this? I am a newbie to latex and lyx but an
old hand at writing screenplays. Any help gratefully
