As I am unable to access news servers from behind the two NHS
firewalls that are between me and the out-side world I would be
unhappy if the mailing list were to finish. Accessing news groups via
web interfaces is slow and tedious.
Just a thought

Hello,
Not infrequently when attempting to view ps using lyx 1.1.5fix1 (ie
stock SuSE 7.1 ) I get error messages and am advised to fix them. My
prolem is that often I cannot figure out what they are. THis even
happens with teh examples that came in the template directory ( the
error shows up

file export text overwrite then wc in a shell works pretty well for me
regards
francesco
Hello and hopefully thanks,
I have been using lyx 'as is' for a little while - it is excellent. I
decided to explore inserting characters in tex mode eg \gamma and
\beta etc etc. If I enter tex mode then type either \gamma or gamma
the text is highlighted in red ( as the docs predict ) then
Thanks - I use those symbols in medical texts - had forgotten that
mathematicians used them as well - hence had not thought of math
mode.
Problem solved
Many Thanks to those that helped

Hi and thanks in advance,
As a newcomer to lyx and tex I am looking for pointers as to where to
go now. I have downloaded and installed (I think successfully) the
package 'draftcopy'. My question is a simple one. Within Lyx - how
should I go about implementing it with respect to a particular
Thanks,
Is it possible to use more than one option eg. no pages have draft
across them but all have draft at the bottom?
Thanks again
