I was using lyx the other day (version 1.1.6fix2), when I ran
into a problem. I used gnuplot to create a 184k eps figure
which I planed to include in my lyx document. Nothing unusual
about that. However when I asked lyx to view the document in
PostScript format, it took a very long time to compile, with
the processor running on full steam.
Exporting to a latex file and manually running latex and dvips
works fine (it takes only a few seconds to compile) so perhaps
this is a lyx bug.
I attach a very simple lyx file (t.lyx) and the eps figure (x.eps)
that demonstrates the problem. Thay are packed as a single file,
lyxdir.tgz (16k).
