Neither is incorrect IMO, but I would drop "the" just because (a) it's
consistent with omitting "the" before "settings" and (b) brevity is the
soul of wit.
P
oat's "handle", click Settings..., and change the
float type in the first setting.
Then buy your spelling checker an extra large (regular) coffee, since it
was apparently too sleepy to catch "cafinated". ;-)

all it but nothing changed. What can I do?
Thanks,

Did you try the MikTeK package manager? According to a comment here
<https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/345900/miktex209-jpeg-dll-is-missing>,
the DLL file is part of the miktex-jpeg-bib-2.9 package. Is that installed?
Paul
the job?
Or, am I missing some other route or setting that would achieve the same ends?
I am using Lyx2.3.0 with memoir class for this document and running on OSX
Mojave.
Many thanks

d are now stored in
user.bind (and I use the standard cua.bind file).
To answer the notation index question, it would help to have a minimal
working example (containing samples of both indices and as little else
as possible).
Paul
hether the line should be added to the tex file.
Thanks for you help.

If that's the case, running the configuration script in a shell /

e Edit button is for, but I suspect it's to do
things like search-and-replace that the LyX interface does not directly
support.

I updated this morning, and it seems to be working fine on
Linux Mint Sylvia.
