Do you have GS view. The instant preview didn't work perfectly (didn't
show equation signs) when the gs view was not in the path. Once I put it
in the path, this seemed to work well.

The same happens to me too (lyx preview displaying an earlier equation);
so I guess it is a bug. Any solutions for this

You should remove the Lyx Folder in the application data folder.
Got to c:/Documents and Settings/Your User Name/Application
Data/Lyx1.4.x
Delete this folder and it should work. I am not sure whether there is
any other way though

When I compile a lyx file to pdf in 1.4.1, it just creates the document
in the directory in which the lyx file is, but does not open it. I
remember, in 1.3.7, it used to be created in a temporary directory and
would also open simultaneously. I am using acrobat professional 6.0.
Is this bug? Any

computer and it didn't have stdtheorem.inc and it still works!!! I
actually followed the instructions in this link to make the
articletheorem.layout file
