Double click LyX on Mac doesn't open LyX

So, where do I start? Mac OS: 10.3.9 LyX Ver: 1.6.1 Not the answer you want, but you might start by updating the OS. I haven't had any trouble with OS 10.5.x. 10.3.x is pretty old...
