Could somebody here please tell me how to insert numbered theorems?
Thank you a lot in advance!

Use a documentclass which supports it (ams*, elsart, etc) or
addsomething like
Style Theorem
MarginFirst_Dynamic

Thanks! Is there some way of changing AMS theorems, definitions, etc. to a
different idiom?

I don't know what you mean by 'different' idiom.

Sorry for having not been clear enough. By 'different idiom', I mean French,
German, etc. For instance, if one selects French as the default language (on
layout settings), then the word 'Theorem' will appear (in the DVI file)
whenever one inserts
addsomething like
Style Theorem
MarginFirst_Dynamic
LatexType Environment
LatexName theorem
#DependsOn TheoremStyle
NextNoIndent 1
Align Block
AlignPossible Block, Left
LabelString Theorem #:

Fantastic! It works and it is all I wanted!
