Sounds like a MiKTeX problem, but it's hard to figure out what it would be. After upgrading, did you remove the previous version of MiKTeX from your system? Create a short test document in LyX and export it in "LaTeX (pdflatex)". Take a look at the .tex file and make sure that there are spaces b

Hi I’ve been using lyx 1.6 since the middle of last year and just updated miktex and lyx to their newest (i think) versions 2.9 and 1.6.9 respectively. Everything installed fine (I did a clean install) but when I create a pdf document of my lyx file there are no spaces between any of the words. I
