Also, I was unable to install the new LYX update 2.1.3 (I am using LYX 2.1.2 on Windows 7).

After installing some new printer software (Nuance Paper Port) I was no
longer able to view the pdf reader for any of LYX files. I uninstalled
the printer software but the problem remained.
