I had a swell time using Lyx to work on this document in RedHat linux with Lyx 1.1.6fix4: http://lark.cc.ukans.edu/~pauljohn/ResearchPapers/activists.pdf 2 problems came up I was not able to solve. My coauthor used a text editor to prepare some tabulars in LaTeX (I think he used WinEdt).
