also have had troubles with LyX (1.1.5) and VNC - while LyX starts up fine, there seems to be a problem with LyX keeping up with my typing in VNC - it skips characters frequently, resulting in unusable work. Other applications (ApplixWare, e.g.) work fine, and can indeed keep pace. FWIW, this vers
