For later reference for the lyx-user list
The quick and dirty answer was to rewrite the ejour.cls file. I commented out
the offending part from line 1527-1538 and this fixed

I want to add three long tables at the end of an artcliee written in the
ejour2 class. When I add these three (or more) tables there is problm with
the first and second.
The first is ok, then ejour prints "This article was authored in LYXetc"
then the second follows right after withou
