Hello,
I have some pictures size about 5 x5 cm which I try to place in a text. Is
there any way to place an array or a multiline equation besides the picture.

Hi!
Do you always have to number your equations or only when they are
referred to in the text?
For example, if I introduce an equation thusly:
The bang-bang force is applied to the right if
equation here in display mode
Do I need to number it?
Please help me
Where can I find rpms for the new version?

in very short articles with only few equations it makes
sense without a numbering. But in long articles and books
or articles with a lot of euqations I always have them
numbered.
Is there an easy way to convert a wide float to a simple float?
TIA and HNY!

no, not really
- open a new float just before the wide one
- copy and paste the contents
- delete the wide one
and HNY!
same to you

Is the file format for the .lyx files published anywhere? We might want to
do our own automatic generation and manipulation of LyX files - so far
I've just been going by the examples I can generate and that's gone fairly

I strongly second this motion. I understand that the LyX format is
changing, but it would still be nice to have some definitive information
in front of me.
