Yup, that made it. The preview appeared. Just one thing, the
preferences file doesn't appear again in the ~/Library/Application
Support/LyX/ folder after I moved it. There's no problem with this?

What happens if you quit LyX, move your ~/Library/Application Support/

UTF-8 is planned for lyx 1.5. The 1.5 development should start

The short answer is: no problem.

When you moved it, LyX turns to the default preferences file located
within the LyX.app bundle. It will create a new preferences file in ~/
Library/Application Support/LyX/ only if you modify any settings.

LyXWinInstaller

2006-03-07 Thread bengor

I used the complete LyXWinInstaller 1.3.7 under WinXP sp2.
After install I get errors with documents containing images. I installed
everything, as it should have been installed. At a windows2000 computer,
everything worked fine.

The message is, that the image can´t be converted because the info about
converting png to eps is missing...

This only happens when no text is entered in the

So I'm not really sure whether this is a bug, is to be

For clarity if added the code of an example lyx file

is truncated.

And maybe somebody has an idea why there is a complete

Do you have 3 different pdf viewers under View?
pdflatex doesn't work with .eps files, did you use dvipdfm?
