Built OK on linux fedora fc6 (x86_64)! 1 minor problem so far. Tried to set preferences (wanted to use kpdf instead of acroread - wish that was the default!). In the process of changing this, my Sans Serif screen font got changed to 'A.C.M.E. Secret Agent'. Looked pretty silly. For some reason, lyx decided to default to that for sans serif. Manually switching it back, everything is fine.

Here are the facts: -OS: Win XP 32-bit -installed LyX with LyXWininstaller LyXWin150beta1Small-3-09 -latest MikTeX Version 2.5 When i start LyX not only LyX opens, but also a DOS-Window, which stays there. unavailable document class
Dear List, I am working with Lyx 1.4.3-5 on Windows XP. I created a CV using the document class curriculum vitae from the menu document>settings>class. Now when I open the document I get a message that the LyX document class (cv) is not available. I did not change any thing in the setup in the interim. I had updated to LyX 1.4.4 but went back to LyX 1.4.3-5 when this problem started. I checked the tools>TeX information menu and cv.cls is present ! but in the document>settings>class menu it is listed as "unavailable" ! How can I solve this problem? Thanks -- Osman

the problem. I created the folder and added the Python script,
reconfigured LyX... Nothing... Same error.
Uninstalled LyX and reinstalled it with the Small Version of your
latest installer (2.11)... Nothing... Same error...

Did you try setting the language with a complete locale name, like "he_IL.UTF-8"? I am currently running Gentoo Linux. Thanks, H.Peter Hello Peter, Before you do anything else, try this. Go Tools -> Preferences -> Converters, them click on 'LaTeX (plain) -> HTML'. Then delete 'originaldir,needaux' from the Extra Flag box. Then try View HTML or Export HTML. This has always worked for me, but I think it leaves a number of temporary files behind that have to be cleaned-up by hand. Let me know how you get on.
