[LyX 2.0.0rc1] LyX file symbol in explorer disappeared
Hi, after installation of LyY 2.0.0rc1-2 on my WinVista machine the symbol (blue L) for LyX files has disappeared in the explorer, whereas the application to files with extension .lyx is LyX. Moreover in the list of installed programs (system panel - don't know the correct translation, since my machine is a German one) the LyX application is shown with a black g - like this one of GPL Ghostscript. BTW: The preview feature works again with the latest rc1-version. Thanks for your help. Best wishes, J.
italian hyphenation does not work with microtype package
Hello, I'm using Lyx2.0.0rc1 on Windows 7. I have a little problem: hyphenation does not work on my italian text (over 10 pages) when the microtype package is activated. This is my preamble: \usepackage[italian]{babel} \usepackage[T1]{fontenc} \usepackage[left,modulo]{lineno} \usepackage{microtype} When I remove the microtype, hyphenation works correctly. I'm using TexLive2010 now but the same error occurs with MikTex 2.9 and also with Lyx 1.6. I'm a new user and I would thank you very much if you could help me, my text doesn't look very good because there are very long words in the italian language. Alessandro

Re: No spaces when creating pdf from lyx
Sounds like a MiKTeX problem, but it's hard to figure out what it would be. After upgrading, did you remove the previous version of MiKTeX from your system? Create a short test document in LyX and export it in LaTeX (pdflatex). Take a look at the .tex file and make sure that there are spaces between the words. Then run pdflatex against it (in a command window) and see if the same problem occurs. Paul
How to change box/minipage text color?
I'm trying to figure out how to have boxes (inserted with Insert-Box-Shaded Background) have a specific background color and text color. I was able to figure out the background color part. For example, for black I've put this into the preamble: \definecolor{shadecolor}{rgb}{0,0,0} But I can't figure out how to change the text color.
