Subject: FW: Paragraphs and headings overlapping in pdf output

I'm using the aiaa-tc.cls class v4.0.1 (http://code.google.com/p/aiaa-latex/)
and LyX 2.0.5.1 in Windows 7.

I'm seeing a strange glitch in the PDF output where headings and paragraph
texts overlap, or sometimes paragraphs overlap each other. (see links)

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-8k4GqMO9DjA/UeDrkUVgeRI/MLk/qvH7041JQT4/w753-h106-no/heading_placement_glitch1.png

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-g0e9urc52Ds/UeDrkeeIDzI/MLo/RHI0hCXgm78/w718-h293-no/heading_placement_glitch2.png

As I edit the text, the problem shifts from one section to another. That is, if
I add some sentences to Section II, the heading overlap problem might stop
effecting Section III, but starts effecting Section VII.

I haven't found any pattern to it, so far.

Ideas?

Thanks,
Nelson

2013-07-15 Thread Hayuning
Hello,

In the announcement of the latest version, Lyx 2.0.6, it is said that they add
new option -m to select needed modules (bug 8393).

We know that one of the Lyx issues is that if we import Tex file to Lyx, it
does not recognize the theorem module, instead it will appear as ERT.

With that new option in Lyx 2.0.6, does it mean the above issue is resolved?
If yes, can anybody tell me how to do that?

I tried to import tex file, but the theorem still appeared in ERT form.

Thank you.

2013-07-15 Thread Patrick Dupre
Hello,

How can I get an overlay of pictures with lyx?

I tried:
\onslide1includepgraphics

but the next picture is not at the cover the previous, it is moved down like
if there are not overlay. The overlay works but just the picture
position is wrong.

Thank.

In LaTeX:

There's not much GUI support for this in LyX 2.0. You can use the Overprint

Also in this regard, the beamer layout will be much improved in forthcoming
LyX 2.1.

Hi Hayu,

Importing the theorem environment should be fixed in LyX 2.1, which
should hopefully be out soon:

Do you happen to use Ubuntu? If so, it's very easy to use the
