Re: [lyx-users] Where to find the 'broadway' stuff.
I assume it needs LaTeX support that it isn't finding on my system. However, neither a CTAN search nor a Web search turns up anything relevant. Any hints as to what I'm missing and where to find it? Like you are told in Help/Latex Configuration the class file "must be installed from the tex/ subdirectory of LyX source distribution". The exact location should be lyx-1.0.2/lib/tex/broadway.cls. I need to be able to cross-reference to the table/figure and the list of figures/tables has to follow the same format. Is there a way of doing it? Thank you
Small glitch in View dvi?

I was writing a message to report the same problem! I am running on a sparc using solaris 2.6. When I click update dvi I see the message, Running Latex and a second later it says Done, but no Latex run 1 and Latex run 2 messages like in 1.0.1. When I look at the dvi file, no changes appear. I reinstalled 1.0.1 and the problem was gone. -Mario

My text is "justified" on both sides by default. (i.e., the text is spaced so that each full line takes the same amount of space, like the text I am writing right now ). In the margin I get the same behavior, but that is not what I want ... (what I want the margin to be left justified, like this paragraph..., with no extra space between words/characters) help! What did I miss? I tried it, and at first didn't think it was working, but then I realized you don't see anything at all until you click the down arrow in the dialog box. (The first entry isn't offered as a candidate, so the dialog box is empty when it comes up.) Also, I don't know what you mean by "tried ... as usual", but just in case: make sure you've got your .bib listed as the "database" in the BibTeX references area at the end of your document, and have your BIBINPUTS & BSTINPUTS defined as needed. Sorry if I'm not telling you anything you didn't already know... Bobby Bryant Austin, Texas p.s. -- If any developers are reading, it would be nice to have it display a longer list when you do click the arrow. I only see 4 in the scrolling area, and there must be thousands to choose from in my .bib file.
Re:Small glitch in View dvi?
Hello all, Just another data point...I'm running tetex on debian slink i486, and have just compiled lyx 1.0.2. On a reasonably complex latex document (3 passes through lates, 1 pass through bibtes, and some hand latex code), I *have not* observed the bug. Using view dvi, changing the document and the using both update or view dvi again shows the changes. Changes have include adding and deleting text, and adding and deleting a bibtex reference. The latter was done using \citep{blah}, with natbib. Also, I'm viewing the document using Xdvi.
