Extra styles - How to include them

Hi, I want to use e.g. apacite.sty - but it is not yet installed. Is it possible to tell LyX where to find additional LaTeX-styles on a Linux-system? (I don't have root-permissions on this system!) Thanks Steffen begin:vcard n:Schmidt;Steffen tel;work:Arbeitsgruppe PD Dr. R. Sterner

reLyX problem still with 1.0.3pre2

Just tried to import a latex file with the latest pre-release and I'm still getting the same problem. It starts to work but then the terminal from which I called LyX is filled with the following message: Got nothing when argument expected at /usr/local/bin/../share/lyx/reLyX/Text/TeX.pm line

Try setting your TEXINPUTS to point to the directory where the addition style files are (in addition to the standard places) and the do Options-Reconfigure from within LyX. LyX and LaTeX should then be able to use those additional style files. ---Kayvan -- Kayvan

How can I specify a shorter description to appear in the table of figures list, if the caption in the caption environment is too long to be useful? I think this can be done easily in latex, but can't see any documentation as to how it can be done in lyx. thanks yan
