I've got a funny problem xith the reconfiguration command.
If there is no layouts in my ".lyx/layouts" directory the
reconfigure command find well the default layouts in the
usr/local/share/lyx/layouts directory.
but if i add some layouts in my diectory the reconfigure command only

is there a way to put two figures next to each other in a figure
float. Subfigures puts them under each other. I want them with a caption
and numbered with the other pictures in my text. At least the whole thing

First, create a figure float.
Hit return (To have the image legend under the figure).
Add the first figure. Move the cursor on the right of the figure and,

with LyX 1.1.3pre1 I can see a behavior of LyX I never saw
before...;-(). It crashes every time I want to load a older file. You

I have some equations in my appendix and would like to have numbers like A1,
A2, etc for them instead of continuing the numbering from the main section.
Is there a way to do this? I am using IEEEtran.
I am also trying to get the variables referring to matrices in bold but it
