Hi everyone,
I've found substantial paste incompatibilities between LyX and GVim (GUI
Vim), which is a shame because I use these daily in my creation of my new
117,000 word book on Troubleshooting. Hopefully this can be resolved,
possibly with collaboration of the LyX and Vim development

LyX and Xemacs are for the most part compatible for cut and paste.
Since LyX can be configured to use emacs/xemacs
Hello Kent,
I assume you are using Miktex.
At the moment I'm working with the latest versions
of miktex and lyx and I don't have this problem,
but I remember to have this problem in an older version.
I used the folling workaround:

That doesn't seem to be the problem. I opened the bib file in Notepad
and everything looked correct. I then saved it just in case and then
tried exporting the file again and the problem still exists.

You are right, I am using Miktex. Were specificially in the preferences
command do I make this change? Is this under
Edit-Preferences-Converters-Converters?
If so, do I change the field Converter to texify -p?

This sounds like something that has better chances of getting to the
right people on the development mailing list.
Simplest thing to do is to, with regard to margins and other things set from
the preferences menu is to get it all like you need, and then save the layout
as default. For more complicated stuff, like fancy headers and modifications
