Here is how much of TeX's memory you used:

Hi

I'm wondering about a curious thing in a Document I'm currently working on. At
the end of the Document I've included a Bibliography. When I'm clicking on a
link in the generated PDF-file (\cite) the I will be directed to the Bib. In
the Table of Contents is the Bib listed with the correct Pagenumber, but when
I click on this number, then I will be directed to a wrong page. The same
thing happens in the pdf-bookmarks-list. What's wrong with it? Has anyone the
same problem?

Compile error: TeX capacity exceeded, sorry

2003-02-22 Thread Christian Ridderström
When I compile my thesis I suddenly get this error:

File: posture_control_step_pitch.ps Graphic file (type eps)
! TeX capacity exceeded, sorry [pool size=72220].
[EMAIL PROTECTED] #1->\message {<#1>}
 \bgroup \def [EMAIL PROTECTED] {!}\dimen@
[EMAIL PROTECTED]@wi...
l.282 ...rt4_images_posture_control_step_pitch.ps}
  \end{center}
If you really absolutely need more capacity,
you can ask a wizard to enlarge me.

Here is how much of TeX's memory you used:
 4332 strings out of 10901
 72220 string characters out of 72220
 135340 words of memory out of 263001
 7009 multiletter control sequences out of 1+0
 100895 words of font info for 123 fonts, out of 40 for 1000
 14 hyphenation exceptions out of 1000
 37i,15n,33p,481b,531s stack positions out of 300i,100n,500p,5b,4000s
Output written on test.dvi (216 pages, 566604 bytes).

What is this "string characters" limitation that I've run into?.
The document is rather large, abt 260 pages, and is a multipart document.
If I remove the three last postscript figures, it goes through and reports
this usage:

Here is how much of TeX's memory you used:
 4338 strings out of 10901
 72059 string characters out of 72220
 135392 words of memory out of 263001
 7011 multiletter control sequences out of 1+0
 100895 words of font info for 123 fonts, out of 40 for 1000
 14 hyphenation exceptions out of 1000
 37i,15n,33p,481b,531s stack positions out of 300i,100n,500p,5b,4000s

Do I really have to recompile latex to get a higher capacity?

a solution to the math symbol/font problem

2003-02-22 Thread Aykut Firat
Hi,

I installed lyx 1.3.0 with cygwin yesterday and encountered the math symbol
rendering problem (the integral seen as R etc. on lyx) . I tried many
things, and finally made it work correctly after deleting/renaming the
strange looking "fonts.dir" and "fonts.scale" files under
C:\Myfiles\.lyx\xfonts [note that C:\Myfiles is the prefix of the HOME
directory[C:\Myfiles\Lyx] specified in the second line of lyxprofile file].
I hope this message may be helpful for anyone having the same problem.

Regards,
