Q: How to write block matrices?

2004-05-15 Thread Atul Narang
How can one write block matrices with dashed or thin lines separating
the blocks? I'm aware of the LaTeX package "easybmat". I was wondering
if there is anything available within LyX.

Thanks in advance for the help!

as ERT, add

\setcounter{enumi}{0}

for 1st level enumeration.
for 2nd, 3ed and 4th levels, set enumii, enumiii and enumiv to the wanted
values.

Starting enumerate from any number

2004-05-15 Thread Robert Neumann
Hi list,
I would like to start an enumeratet list with 3. and I cannot do that.
Is there any possibility to do that?
(I found already some postings, but all of these explain, how to "get back" to
an enumeration that started already)
Thank you
Robert

The layout controls the appearance inside the LyX window, not what it will
look like when you print it. Since you ought to be primarily interested in
printed appearance, you should first find/decide on a suitable LaTeX class
(and LaTeX styles). So try and ask the list again for what LaTeX class
(.cls-file) and LaTeX styles (.sty-files) you could use to get what you
want.

PS. I used the Book version of the class 'KOMA Script' to write my thesis,
another alternative for you could be the Report version.

You probably do not have ImageMagick installed, or it is not in your PATH.
For tips on how to set up LyX in Windows look at
