How can one write block matrices with dashed or thin lines separating the blocks? I'm aware of the LaTeX package "easybmat". I was wondering if there is anything available within LyX. Thanks in advance for the help! Atul

Since you ought to be primarily interested in printed appearance, you should first find/decide on a suitable LaTeX class (and LaTeX styles). So try and ask the list again for what LaTeX class (.cls-file) and LaTeX styles (.sty-files) you could use to get what you want. /Christian PS. I used the Book version of the class 'KOMA Script' to write my thesis, another alternative for you could be the Report version. -- Christian Ridderström http://www.md.kth.se/~chr

You probably do not have ImageMagick installed, or it is not in your PATH. For tips on how to set up LyX in Windows look at http://wiki.lyx.org/pmwiki.php/LyX/WindowsSetup Srdacan pozdrav, Milos
