numbered separately, I don't know how to do this elegantly. For now, I'm
forced to put an invisible note or make nested environments. How can I
tell LyX that I want TWO SEPARATE definitions, not ONE MERGED?

I'd love to see the following enhancement to LyX. While writing a big
article, one has to do a lot of juggling with formulae and pieces of
text and one clipboard is not enough for that. Is it possible to add
named clipboards (a.k.a 'registers' in Emacs jargon)?
