I'm still not sure if I totally understand, though. If I leave the

visibility would be lost next time I overwrite LyX.app
I also would like to express my support for a on-the-fly-spellchecker. It would
bring LyX in line with other similar editors, where such a feature has been
standard for many year. A feature poll in our wiki has indicated an overwhelming
support for it by many LyX users. Although the implementation

There was no such version. LyX for Windows up to version 1.3.3 (using the XForms frontend) could be
run using the cygwin unix emulator. I tried once to get it running on Win ME but failed.

It should be possible to make LyX 1.5 run on Windows 98/Me. I tried it a
few weeks ago. Everything seems to work except the math mode. When you
try to create an equation or open a document with mathematics, you get a
crash.

Hello,
I have linux (opensuse 10.2) and I want to know:
1) if I can install other distros of Tex like XeTeX,
Tex Live, ConTeXt, etc., instead Latex and to use this
with Lyx.
2) If I get a gain with this, like no package clash
(ConTeXt), add more easy font (XeTeX), etc.
