Ams latex and lyx
Hello I have some problems with lyx 1.5 and ams article documentclass. It does not recognize the size of the graphics, and is not compiling the document. I tried to put them inside a figure environment, but the error persists. Can you give me any advice? thank you Gerardo.
Bug or feature? Find and Replace
Hi, is the following behavior a bug of feature? While using Find and Replace Replace usually replaces the current text and jumps to the next hit - this way in hitting replace several times I can replace several hits but if Replace with contains the text specified in Find this does not work. Just an dumb example: assume the following: The text is Hello Tom, hello Tim, who are you? The text specified in Find is Hello The text specified in Replace with is Hello World Hitting Replace twice ends up with Hello World World Tom, hello Tim, who are you? instead of Hello World Tom, hello World Tim, how are you? This means the after replacing the text the search for the next hit starts at the start of the just replaced text. I myself would prefer, that the second search starts at the end of the replaced text - not at the start of it... Are there any reasons for the current behavior? Regards Toby
Program Listing Parameters
The program listing feature is very useful and I wonder if there is some documentation available showing how to set parameters under the advanced tab. I have inserted ? to get a list of parameters. Fine! The list includes fillcolor that I wish to use. On inserting fillcolor the user is prompted: Parameter fillcolor: Enter something like \color{white} On doing this an error message states: Unknown listing parameter name: fillcolor \color{white} Any help appreciated.

michael papenfus wrote: Hi, I am inserting a few tables I created using the ctable package. These tables are inserted into my lyx document directly as Tex (ERT). I include label=tab:Table X in the ctable options, but when I attempt to insert a cross-reference the labels I created in ctable do not appear in the cross-reference list. Is there a work around for this? I could also just manually include the cross reference but I prefer that it be automated. The LyX cross reference dialog can only see LyX labels, i.e. labels inserted with insert-label. You made your tables using ERT. So there are two ways to solve this: 1) Create the cross reference with ERT also, because your label is made with ERT. This obviously works, but you get more ERT. 2) Insert your labels using insert-label, don't create the label with ERT. Now, you can't insert a label inside ERT, but you can break your big table ERT into two consecutive ERTs, and insert the LyX label between them. (The LyX label is exported as a \label command when you run pdflatex) Take care so you don't press enter (makes a paragraph break) between the two ERTs, as that will cause trouble. Example - the brackets just show insets, and should not be entered into the document: ERT[\mytable{...\caption{captiontext] lyxlabel[tablelabel] ERT[}}] Notice the unbalanced braces in each ERT - that is OK because the two ERTs balance each other. But this breaks badly if you press enter between the two ERTs. Helge Hafting
