My MS Word to LyX conversion is more or less finished

2008-07-27 Thread Steve Litt
Hi all, A couple days ago it took the entire day to change all the tables from markers to real tables. It was a tough job. Today I put in the 10 images into the book. What made it hard was that the old images were object embbedded Micrografx Windows Draw images. MGX Windows Draw was a

2008-07-27 Thread Frederick Noronha [फ़रेदरिक नोरोनया]
Is it possible to use Lyx to create a 'watermark' across all the pages of a book -- say, something in grey to read 'Unedited Rough Draft'? I've seen this on another draft copy of a book (not done in Lyx) and was wondering if similar capabilities existed here. Just need to use this while submitting

Size of preview image

2008-07-27 Thread Daniel Lohmann
Hi, Is there any way to change the size LyX uses internally when creating the bitmaps for preview images? In many cases, the default size of the preview image is to small. I know that I can specify a preview scaling factor in the graphics settings, however, that causes the *bitmap* to be

Is anyone else finding it impossible to start a new section heading in LyX 1.6 beta 4? When I type some text and then try to select "section" from the drop down, nothing happens. The paragraph type is not altered but the section GUI does reflect my selection from the menu. At the moment, I am
