The first question is not clear. Do you want to know how can you

Or do you want to know how to change the separation from the bullet to

For the second question, you cannot do it directly in LyX. Yo have to

Dear all. I have been using Biblatex for my bibliography in a memoir

You're probably running into one of a variety of well-known bugs that
afflict ODT export on Windows. This is not a LyX issue so much as it is
a tex4ht issue. That said, you might look in your temporary directory

My Spanish is negligible, but if I understood the second part correctly,
the LaTeX mdwtools package may be of help. It includes mdwlist, which
provides a way of injecting material between consecutive list items. In
the case of an enumeration, it would let you suspend the enumeration,
insert almost anything, then resume the enumeration with the next
counter value. It does require inserting some LaTeX code in ERT, but
not much.  See http://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/Numbering#toc2.

The \tableofcontents command in book.cls is defined like this:
\newcommand\tableofcontents{%
\...@twocolumn
\...@restonecoltrue\onecolumn
\else
\...@restonecolfalse
\fi
\chapter*{\contentsname
\...@mkboth{%
\MakeUppercase\contentsname}{\MakeUppercase\contentsname}}%
\...@starttoc{toc}%
\...@restonecol\twocolumn\fi

The important part is that it formats the heading, Table of Contents,
using \chapter*. So if we look at that:

\newcommand\chapter{...@openright\cleardoublepage\else\clearpage\fi
\thispagestyle{plain}%
\glob...@topnum\z@
\...@afterindentfalse
\secd...@chapter\@schapter}
This gets called both for \chapter and for \chapter*. Note how it sets
the page style.

Getting around this will probably involve both (i) redefining the
\tableofcontents macro so that it does not call \chapter* but instead,
say, a new command, \tochapter and (ii) defining that new command. You
might try something like this:

\renewcommand\tableofcontents{%

\fi
\tochapter{\contentsname
\...@mkboth{%
\MakeUppercase\contentsname}{\MakeUppercase\contentsname}}%

\newcommand\tochapter{...@openright\cleardoublepage\else\clearpage\fi
\thispagestyle{empty}%
\glob...@topnum\z@
\...@afterindentfalse
\...@schapter}
I've basically just copied everything over and changed a few bits here
and there.

Are you sure you don't just want to use \frontmatter and \mainmatter,
though?

to use it. I installed the otf in the open type font directory of MikTex,
but nothing. Even if I declare the font family at the beginning of the
document, Lyx/xetex cannot find it and I get the blank pdf.
How do I get Lyx to use XeTex with otf and ttf fonts properly?
All the best

Hola Alexis. Disculpa, pero el idioma oficial de la lista es el inglés.

The first question is not clear. Do you want to know how can you
change the separation between the margin and the bullet of the items?
Or do you want to know how to change the separation from the bullet to
the text of the item?

For the second question, you cannot do it directly in LyX. Yo have to
implement a counter to store the value of the list and reuse where you
want to continue. Please check:
http://texnik.de/cgi-bin/mainFAQ.cgi?file=list/enum

What you're asking will need that you get your hands dirty in LaTeX,
so be prepared. Best regards.

Bibliography at the end of memoir book

2009-08-16 Thread Julio Rojas
Dear all. I have been using Biblatex for my bibliography in a memoir
book. When I compile the document, the PDF shows that the bibliography
has the header of the last chapter and section. How can I do to
automatically reset the headers to show we are at the bibliography?
For the rest of the chapters/sections it works alright.

I hope the question is clear. Best regards.

I didn't explain that I would like to use the same header format I've
been using (default memoir class), so:

\makepagestyle{mybibstyle}
\makeevenhead{mybibstyle}{\thepage}{}{Bibliograf\'{i}a}
\makeoddhead{mybibstyle}{Bibliograf\'{i}a}{}{\thepage}
\pagestyle{mybibstyle}

Is not an option. Is there a way to just change the header title
without changing the whole style?

You're probably running into one of a variety of well-known bugs that
afflict ODT export on Windows. This is not a LyX issue so much as it is
a tex4ht issue. That said, you might look in your temporary directory
and see if LyX for some reason left the ODT there.

This allows a choice between document classes supported by LyX.

This looks like your class is unknown to LyX. Have a look at
Help>Customization to see how to make it known by writing a *.layout
file.

problem with default margin

2009-08-16 Thread Marcelo Acuña
Hello,
 I have a work in custom page size and custom margin.
 I have to try with Us letter and A4 page size and when I selected default
margin I have 1,5 o 2 inchs margin.
 If I give a look to the source I cannot see \usepackage{geometry} with margin
set in the preamble.
 These enormous margins are an error or is the awaited thing?
 Regards.

toc - page numbering

2009-08-16 Thread Ricardo Perrone
Hi everybody,

I want to set the page counter to start from 12th page (Here, the first page
relative to the first chapter). From 1st to 10th I removed the page numbering
with \pagestyle{empty} at the document begining, but when i include
\tableofcontents at 11th page, the page numbering appears at the end of page.
How can i remove this numbering on TOC page and force the page numbering
appears only from 12th page? I tried ERT command (\pagestyle and
\thispagestyle) but didn't work. For this document I'm using book.cls template

thanks a lot

How can i remove this numbering on TOC page and force the page numbering

\thispagestyle) but didn't work. For this document I'm using book.cls template

The \tableofcontents command in book.cls is defined like this:
\newcommand\tableofcontents{%
\...@twocolumn
\...@restonecoltrue\onecolumn
\else
\...@restonecolfalse
\fi
\chapter*{\contentsname
\...@mkboth{%
\MakeUppercase\contentsname}{\MakeUppercase\contentsname}}%
\...@starttoc{toc}%
\...@restonecol\twocolumn\fi
}
The important part is that it formats the heading, "Table of Contents",
using \chapter*. So if we look at that:

\newcommand\chapter{...@openright\cleardoublepage\else\clearpage\fi
\thispagestyle{plain}%
\glob...@topnum\z@
\...@afterindentfalse
\secd...@chapter\@schapter}

\...@twocolumn
\...@restonecoltrue\onecolumn
\else
\...@restonecolfalse
\fi
\tochapter{\contentsname
\...@mkboth{%
\MakeUppercase\contentsname}{\MakeUppercase\contentsname}}%
\...@starttoc{toc}%
\...@restonecol\twocolumn\fi
}
\newcommand\tochapter{...@openright\cleardoublepage\else\clearpage\fi
\thispagestyle{empty}%
\glob...@topnum\z@
\...@afterindentfalse
\...@schapter}
I've basically just copied everything over and changed a few bits here
and there.

Are you sure you don't just want to use \frontmatter and \mainmatter,
though?
