in lyx chapter 4-section 3(for istance) and put 2 tables that are numbered
automatically as table 6 and table 7, then when i update the PDF, i
notice that the 2 tables get the same number like table 4.2. i cannot
understand the reason. can anyone help me?? it very important. i am using it

Re: Footnot-dw-style / Biblatex / Waßenhoven

2009-12-23 Thread jezZiFeR

Thank you, Dominik,

I have changed every chapter, paragraph etc. without numbering and
replaced them with numbered ones (Chapter, Paragraph…), but the
problem remains the same:

These commands do not work in the console:

Browse to the appropriate
subdirectory and type the following (only the bit after the ):
,--
¦ C:\Temp\lyx_tmpdir.gq7420\lyx_tmpbuf0bibtex8 -W filename1-blx.aux
¦ C:\Temp\lyx_tmpdir.gq7420\lyx_tmpbuf0bibtex8 -W filename2-blx.aux

For me it looks as if to have these commands working there should
exist files, wich have the endings blx.aux, but in fact those
endings do not exist in my folder. There is a file with an aux
ending, and there is also one with -blx.bib. I suppose that this is
the reason for the error the console gives out, which is:

bibtex8 -W filename1-blx.aux
-bash: filename: No such file or directory

I have tried the same without entering the and in front of and
after the filename, and then the console gives out another error:

I couldn't open file name `Music_after_Music_46_chapter1-blx.aux'
(That was a fatal error)zs-macbook-3:lyx_tmpbuf0 Z$

What did I do wrong?

Thanks again and best*

Install it for LaTeX. But there isn't any "native" support for this
package. If you want to use it, you'll just have to type it the same way
you would in LaTeX. Or define some math macros to hide some of the
complexity.

Re: Footnot-dw-style / Biblatex / Waßenhoven

2009-12-23 Thread jezZiFeR

Thank you, Dominik,

I have changed every chapter, paragraph etc. without numbering and
replaced them with numbered ones (Chapter, Paragraph…), but the
problem remains the same:

These commands do not work in the console:

Browse to the appropriate
subdirectory and type the following (only the bit after the >):
,--
¦ C:\Temp\lyx_tmpdir.gq7420\lyx_tmpbuf0>bibtex8 -W 1-blx.aux
¦ C:\Temp\lyx_tmpdir.gq7420\lyx_tmpbuf0>bibtex8 -W 2-blx.aux

For me it looks as if to have these commands working there should
exist files, wich have the endings "blx.aux", but in fact those
endings do not exist in my folder. There is a file with an "aux"
ending, and there is also one with "-blx.bib". I suppose that this is
the reason for the error the console gives out, which is:

bibtex8 -W 1-blx.aux
-bash: filename: No such file or directory

I have tried the same without entering the "<" and ">" in front of and
after the filename, and then the console gives out another error:

I couldn't open file name `Music_after_Music_46_chapter1-blx.aux'
(That was a fatal error)zs-macbook-3:lyx_tmpbuf0 Z$

What did I do wrong?

Thanks again and best*
Jess

I don't know if the biblatex option works with Chapter*. You should
try

Chapter and see if it works then. If not, we have to search further.

a simple question:

2009-12-23 Thread Adrian Diaz
Hi friends

At the moment i have installed in my computer the version Lyx 1.6.3. My
question is about to install
the version 1.6.5 without uninstalling the vesrion 1.6.3. is it possible.
My computer has windows vista.

 Greetings Adrián

Open Document

2009-12-23 Thread Ehud Kaplan

I wanted to export a Lyx file to a WORD file.
The export menu offers HTML (WORD) or Open Document.
The HTML option worked pretty well, but the output file did not quite
work well with OpenOffice Writer.

The Open Document option produced an empty file.
Is there a convenient and robust way to go from Lyx to Word?
Thanks,
EK

This is going to depend in part upon your OS. It has been much discussed
here, so you might search the archives.
