I used to write \dir@{-}[dr] instead of \dir[dr] because that made an undirected edge instead of an arc. But that doesn't work anymore; I don't know why. Is there a better way to do that, for example with tikz, and is it easy to use that within lyx? If not, how can I create simple edges in that xy-pic-environment and place the title under the figure. Forward/reverse searching problems under Windows
LyX folk: I usually work in OS X or Linux but on occasion work in Windows 7. No problems at all with LyX under the former two but both forward and inverse searching are failing under Windows. I have followed all the instructions assiduously in the Additional Features document -- path to LyXserver pipe is set to \\.\pipe\lyxpipe, I've created the batch file lyxeditor.bat, have configured Yap properly, etc. But when I double-click in my DVI preview document, a command window pops up quickly with the message The system cannot find the file specified. Multiple indexes
Dear all, I am working on LyX 2.0 and I have a strange problem with multiple indexes. I work with both Windows 7 and Ubuntu 11.04. While in Ubunto everything is OK, I am not able to see the indexes in Windows. I have checked the LaTeX-log and I have sees that in Ubuntu the files with extension ind are correctly loaded, while in Windows 7 there is the message no file xxx-idx.ind (even if I do not receive any error while compiling the document). Any suggestion? Francesco

I have put the Maxima path (C:\Program Files\Maxima-5.24.0\bin) in LyX (Tools->Prefereces->Paths) and reconfigure LyX. Nevertheless, when I try to compute something (like 2+2) I just obtain an empty space after the formula. Any suggestion? The problem here is that LyX is invoking the command "maxima" but there's only a batch file (maxima.bat) to be executed on Windows. Now, LyX 2.0 on Windows is not able to execute batch files anymore. You may have better luck trying the Cygwin version of LyX , as a bash script "maxima" is also supplied and the Cygwin version is able to execute it. Thank you for your help. I will try Cygwin. Nevertheless, I just stress that Maxima and LyX perfectly work together in Ubuntu (11.04). Francesco -- Francesco Menoncin Università degli Studi di Brescia Facoltà di Economia Via S. I have checked the LaTeX-log and I have sees that in Ubuntu the files with extension "ind" are correctly loaded, while in Windows 7 there is the message "no file xxx-idx.ind" (even if I do not receive any error while compiling the document). I do not like using the mouse each time to insert a cross reference. after a filter operation in that dialog, i would like to switch back to the listbox to select the item i want to reference. Any suggestion will be welcome. thanks in advance, weidong Here it's alt+v. -- Julien
