Beamer language problem

2011-07-20 Thread Sandor Szabo

Hi,

I use LyX 1.6.5 (Windows XP), document class presentation(beamer),
language Hungarian.
In LyX I see the corresponding Hungarian words of Frame, Theorem,
Definition, etc, (very nice),

but in pdf there is Theorem instead of T\'etel .
How could I overcome this problem?

Thanks in advance, Sandor

Has anyone tried LyX (2.0) under Mac OSX Lion? Has anyone encountered
any problems? I will wait with upgrading until I know LyX can
run under Lion.

No, I could't try it, I don't have Lion until now.

I've been using the texlive 2010 repository since Fedora 14 and had no greater
problem than having to
manually install/replace some individual packages, depending on the
classes/modules employed by the
document.
The transition F14 - F15 was also uneventful.

LyX fires right up. What I want to know is if there are potential gotcha's
due to the transition. I expect not, but I'd like to be sure before I hit
one during a critical event (such as a deadline to produce a document).

Instead of drawing a single die, it draws all 12 possible combinations of

It looks like the required clipping of the graphic file does not work with
XeTeX.

Is there a working dice or dominoes or grouped dots package for xelatex ?
The document I am writing is in Cherokee, so xelatex is my only choice for
 font reasons.

With XeTeX, you can configure the use of an alternative font with the
well documented fontspec package. Then you can switch between the two
fonts with ERT or a custom text style and use the dice symbol characters
in the LyX source. All you need is a Unicode-encoded font with the dice
symbols. See the fontspec documentation for details.

The way Apple breaks everyone else's applications with each new release
is heartwarming. It reminds me of the old days. You know: DOS ain't done

I upgraded to Lion on my Alum macbook today. Lyx 2.0 seems quite fine; haven't
found anything broken as yet. Have tested my book files (rather long doc with
child docs), and other things.
