How to use spell checking in lyx?
Hello lyx users: I wanted to use lyx spell checker for Hungarian language but I could not find out how to do it. I have lyx 2.0.0 compiled on my system. On my system hunspell-devel and aspell-devel files are also installed, and lyx took this into account at build. I can set "Spellchecker engine" in lyx preferences either to aspell or to hunspell. When aspell is selected in preferences: If I create a document and set its language to Hungarian in document settings, the spell checker does not use a Hungarian dictionary. If I press F7 the spell checker stop at the first Hungarian word and the language in the spell checker is set to English. How can I change the selected dictionary to Hungarian permanently? aspell-hu is installed. Hunspell does not work at all, the hunspell Hungarian dictionary might be missing. Thanks, bcsikos

This is stored in a specific Qt session file. The Qt session information is handled merely by Qt itself, independent from the LyX preferences files. On my side, this is at ~/.config/LyX/ > Would you agree that un-installing and re-installing should normally > restore the installation back to default settings and that when this does > not happen one might should classify this as a bug? I'm not sure. I think this is not the case in any Qt driven app I've used. Jürgen

Question: where is this session information being stored such that un-installing and re-installing LyX (including the user folder) did not fix this? Would you agree that un-installing and re-installing should normally restore the installation back to default settings and that when this does not happen one might should classify this as a bug? Many thanks, Ken
Document Classes = non-existent
I don't have any of the document classes available and I cannot view the document in any other format other than the one I am writing it in. How do I fix this? Please answer urgently I have a large deadline soon and a lot of maths that I can't copy into word or similar. Thanks! Katie

Re: Newlines or vertical spaces in table cells
On 02. aug. 2011 07:12, Walter wrote: Hi there, Apologies if there is some documentation for this - I couldn't find it. Is there some way to force a newline or vertical space within a table cell's contents? At the moment many of my larger tables exceed a page width and I would prefer to (automatically, if posible - otherwise manually) enforce line breaks within wider table cells. Yes, you can have automatic line breaking inside a table cell. Set the column to some fixed width. Then, the column will have that exact width, and text will break automatically when it gets to the edge. To set the column width: 1. Place the cursor in some cell in that column. 2. Menu: "Edit->Table settings..." 3. In the dialog, set an appropriate width in "column settings". 4. Press the OK button You table may have several columns - the "column settings" take effect for whatever column the cursor is in when you make the change. For documentation, see "Help->Embedded objects" and the chapter on "Tables". Helge Hafting
Re: Child document and "Undefined control sequence"
hello, i need to use this functionality that has been reported to have a bug [i'm including a child custom program listing in a child document. when i try to compile it, after adding all the definitions in the master document preamble i get 'undefined control sequence'. if i put my program listing in the main document the compile completes successfully] is this problem resolved in the svn version? thank you On Fri, 15 Jul 2011 18:50:11 -0400, Richard Heck wrote: > On 07/15/2011 06:10 AM, Giacomo Z wrote: >> Dear all, >> >> I am having a problem with a child document - I attached the minimal >> working files to be copied in the same directory.
