installing LyX 2.0.1 on Win 7
Hi, 1. You did not put a binary of the latest release for Win7. Is such a binary planned? 2. Is there a way to install the update without a binary? I assume I have to use cygwin, but am not familier with the program, so any kind of instructions will be of great help. 3. Is there a way to install only an update (as was possible in the windows alt installer) or should I simply reinstall lyx completely? Best, Sivan
Re: lyx 2.0.1 export docbook-dvi error element DUMMY undefined
Are the dummy tags supposed to come over from the lyx doc? Is this a docbook toolchain misconfig on Fedora's part? TIA Phil This is: http://www.lyx.org/trac/ticket/7004. I already proposed a patch to fix this last year, but no-one has been around to verify the validity of the fix and to explain me how to handle things like footnotes. I think I will commit the fix anyway now. Vincent

Creating a new module (for Sage) : a question
Hi, I am trying to write a new module that would allow to introduce me Sage instructions, like for a Sweave document. I have read the customization guide but I have a problem in the implementation of a command. In a latex document using the sagetex package, one can write \sageplot[angle=0, width=10cm]{plot(sin(x), 0, pi), axes=True} to have a plot generated by Sage and inserted in the pdf. I have written the following definition in my module: Style sageplot LatexType Command LatexName sageplot OptionalArgs 1 FreeSpacing 1 PassThru 1 Spellcheck 0 TextFont Color latex Family Typewriter EndFont End In order to be able to write in the lyx document [angle=0, width=10cm]plot(sin(x), 0, pi), axes=True and select the sageplot command from the top dropbox of styles, to convert it to the latex command above. I am definitely missing something here, since that does not work... How could I write and environment that accepts options given in the LyX file. Is this possible at all? Except this problem, I have now a setup that allows me to put Sage commands in a lyx file and compile the final PDF including the results of these commands. FYI: Sage is a very powerful open source mathematics environment (it pools together many available open source tools for mathematics). http://www.sagemath.org/ Once I have a fully working (and tested) setup, I could share it with you if you are interested by this solution. How to change numeration size and upper case
Hello, I have LyX 2.0, using urw-arial, calling the packege with this code in the preamble: \usepackage[T1]{fontenc} \usepackage[scaled]{uarial} \renewcommand*\familydefault{\sfdefault} I realized that roman numbers are so tiny and lower case. I need them upper case a bit bigger. Arabic numbers are fine. How could I achieve that? P.S:_ for roman numbers I used this in the preamble: \renewcommand{\thepage}{\roman{page}} \setcounter{page}{1} Thankyou! Kenedy
Surprising behavior in LyX 2.0.0 Friday, April 29, 2011, on 64 bit Ubuntu 11.04
Hi all, I've found a bit of surprising behavior in Surprising behavior in LyX 2.0.0 Friday, April 29, 2011, on 64 bit Ubuntu 11.04. If you don't know what's going on, you can get yourself into a situation where it appears you cannot change any document settings. I had it happen once, and couldn't reproduce it again. It involved my putting bad code in the Document-Settings-Local_Layout box, pressing Validate, then cancelling out. From then on, until I did something else (which I can't remember), I could never get the OK or Apply buttons and hence couldn't change a thing. If anybody runs into this, please write this list telling, to the best of your memory, what you did to make this happen.
