lyx process not closing in vista

When I close lyx, if I look at my running processes, it appears that cmd.exe and its underlying processes, e.g. xetex, are not closing and I need to kill the tree manually. This must be a bug??

I just installed LyX 2.0.3 on my Mac. I am in the middle of writing an article(ams), and I lost the environment Notation. Can you help? Thanks. E.

Lyx cannot find text class

Dear Lyx-Users I'm new to lyx and just intalled the latest distribution (2.0.3) on a Mac PowerBook G4 running OS X 10.4.11. As specified on the web, I also installed MacTeX. Whenever I run Lyx, an error message pops up telling me that Lyx cannot find any text class, that it cannot work

Dear All, I have recently installed Lyx and I try to use it in my documents. I opened a new file used the default aritlce style but I have a large preamle between the numbered list and the paragraph in above (2cm). How can I controls this space, please? Thanks a lot. Zohair
