You could improve the situation by loading images in LyX with relative paths. For example if you add
an image to LyX and the image file is in the same folder or a subfolder of your LyX-document, LyX
will use a relative folder, for example:

\Bilder\Bild.png

If you now put this to dropbox, LyX will always find the image if it is there also in the subfolder
Bilder.

You can also make an absolute path like
D:\lyxdokumente\clipart\Berichte
make a relative path by clicking onto an existing image and rename
D:\lyxdokumente\clipart\Berichte
to
\clipart\Berichte

Moreover, one graphical problem is the long minibox. In the original

You can try to adjust the Page Margins in Document Settings

I do not wish to adjust the margins as I already set them to the

(i.e; on separate pages) to remain within the margins?

Ah I was just checking the box settings found Allow Page Breaks
which I cannot use except when Inner Box is None; then I get Latex

Dimensions too large error is back when i inserted the image)

Note: all errors appear in DVI view

I think you cannot do much because of the bug in LyX. (I just posted a patch to fix this for the
next LyX version.)

The only clean solution is to go to the document settings and uncheck there the option to use
refstyle. LyX will then use prettyref as package for formatted references. This package has some
limitations compared to refstyle but might work for you.

Restate Theorems

2012-07-08 Thread Mehrdad Oveisi
Hello,

How can I restate a theorem in different parts of a document?
I prefer that the entire theorem text is duplicated, but I can live with a
solution that only repeats the theorem number and I copy and paste the
theorem text.
Also, the more LyX-compatible the solution is, the better!

One example for repeating theorems can be found on page 6 of Thmtools
Users’ Guide:
http://mirror.its.dal.ca/ctan/macros/latex/exptl/thmtools/thmtools.pdf

They define a restatable environment, and I am not sure how easy it is to
use this in LyX. Is it?

Thanks,
Mehrdad
