Do you have "Use non-TeX fonts" activated? If so, you cannot change
the encoding. XeTeX/LuaTeX with fontspec (i.e. OpenType fonts) only
support utf8, no other encoding.

Cannot change language default

2012-10-24 Thread Edmund
Hi,

I'm testing LyX 2.0.4 on a Mac, trying to get xeCJK, XeTeX, etc.
to work. One problem I've never been able to solve is how to
change the language in Document Settings... on my installation,
no matter what I do, "Language Default" is selected, but is
greyed-out. The option button, where I would expect to select
UTF-8, is also greyed-out.

What must I do to enable modification of these options?

2012-10-24 Thread James Cull
Dear LyX community,

I just wanted to make you all aware that LyX, a program which I am very fond of
using, has been featured on fruux's blog as a great productivity application
for Windows. The blog piece can be found here:

If you've got any questions at all then I'd be happy to answer them.

Thanks, Georg,

but I have still not managed to get the greek letter displayed in the .fig
file in LyX. If you don't mind, I would like to send you a minimal lyx file
and the fig file privately (together 10kb) for a trial. May I?

Once more for maikng it clear: if I run pdflatex in the same directory
the pdf file is created and is correct. Latex can find the file if I run
pdflatex.
It can not find it when I use lyx.

I did it several times, did not make a change.

Thanks,
