FYI the problem was that the csquotes module used Preamble ... EndPreamble at top level, which overwrote classicthesis.layout's own preamble additions. Using AddPreamble instead solves the issue. See new module here: http://www.spitzmueller.org/tools/lyx/csquotes.module Jürgen > > Jürgen
