Can no longer output bolded index page numbers

2016-10-11 Thread Richard Opheim
I've noticed that since I recently installed version 2.2.1, "|textbf"
inserted in an index entry no longer produces bolded page numbers in the
index. Has anyone else had this problem?

You can see the problem in Tools > Preferences > File Handling >
Converters
under the converter
PDF (graphics) -> EPS
it shows:
pdftops -eps -f 1 -l 1 $$i $$o

the "1" in the above means the first page. I don't think there's any way
to fix this issue.

For the hazy black lines, I'm not sure why that's happening. I don't
think I've seen those.

The only thing I can think of is to uncheck "Show in LyX" so at least
incorrect output is not shown in the LyX display.

Thanks, Edu.

Meanwhile, I found out a solution with

Thank you
there are 2 bugs:
1- lyx not support "indexs" and "nomencalure" in arabic language, so i
added this code in preamble:

\AtBeginDocument{\setdefaultlanguage[numerals=maghrib]{arabic}}

\renewcommand{\nomname}{المصطلحات}%

2- small bug with the title of chapter when i added it in tikz with this
code:

%%%

%\usepackage{tikz}

%\usepackage{kpfonts}

\usepackage[explicit]{titlesec}

%\AtBeginEnvironment{ }{\selectlanguage{english}}

\AtBeginEnvironment{ }{\selectlanguage{}}

\tikzset{font=\selectlanguage{arabic}}

\newcommand*\chapterlabel{}

\titleformat{\chapter}

{\gdef\chapterlabel{}

% \normalfont\sffamily

%\bfseries\scshape

}

{\gdef\chapterlabel{\thechapter\ }}{0pt}

{\begin{tikzpicture}[remember picture,overlay]

pdfpages problem - display in LyX

2016-10-11 Thread Robert Froehlich

LyX version 2.2.1

I have a problem inserting a pdf using pdfpages. When I insert a pdf,
either a single page or all pages, the main editing work area shows only
one page, and the work area has hazy black lines obscuring the text.
However if I View the document, a new pdf file is produced which
correctly reproduces the original document. Thus I conclude that this is
a display problem in LyX.

Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it?

Cannot change screen colors, LyX-2.2.1 on MacOSX El Capitan

2016-10-11 Thread Leo Razoumov
Hi LyX Experts,

I am a new LyX user. I installed Lyx-2.2.1 from the official
LyX-2.2.1+qt5-x86_64-cocoa.dmg installer on Mac OSX El Capitan
(version 10.11.6). Everything seems to be working OK except for one
issue.

I cannot change any of the screen colors.
I open LyX->Preferences->Look>Colors and get a list of colors.
Double clicking a color (or clicking Alter... button) brings up color
choosing dialog. In this dialog I can pick a color I like. But when I
press OK button, both the color-choosing dialog and the Preferences
dialog itself disappear without a trace. My choices are not
remembered. Am I doing something wrong or it is a bug?

Thanks,

Re: Page numbers override in citations

2016-10-11 Thread Helge Hafting

Den 09. okt. 2016 19:00, skrev N. Andrew Walsh:

Hi List,

I have numerous bibliography entries of articles that are given in the
bibliography with their respective page ranges. However, I want to
have some citations give the specific page on which the cited material
appears. Is there a way to do this?

Currently, I'm using the "Text after" field in the citation dialog to
add a page number, but this results in the output document simple
showing that text in brackets before the unprocessed bibtex key.

What I would prefer is if the citations would either give the page
ranges of the entry for the first entry, or, if a number[-range] is
given in the "Text after" field, to use that instead.

Or is there a better way to control this behavior and get the output I
want?

There is the option of having several bibliography entries for the same
article; all citing with different pages or page ranges. Unless someone
else has a better solution.
