I'm not sure I have seen such a report. It is hard to know how to
diagnose the problem. When you see the sluggishness, are you by chance
working on a file that is in a Dropbox folder and you have automatic
save set to a high frequency? That's just a random guess. We have seen
some problems from users with both Windows and Dropbox.

Lyx sluggish on Windows 10

2019-03-08 Thread David Belius
Hi,

Recently Lyx has been sluggish when typing equations and scrolling in
moderately sized documents, to the point that it becomes very frustrating.
Is this known to be an issue with current versions? I am using a fresh
install of Lyx 2.3.2-2 on an up-to-date version of Windows 10 (Version
1809). On Lyx 2.3.2 (2018-12-20) on Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS on a much older
computer editing same document is very snappy.

Best Regards,
David

Thanks again. I now have 2.3.2 loaded. Not sure when I will be doing another
brief but I will report on excess spacing matter soon as I do one.

As always: please provide a _minimal_ example file that demonstrates
the problem (which I cannot reproduce myself).

"ABSTRACT:[[myclass]]"

The [[comment]] will be stripped of for display, but the string still
differs in terms of localization due to the comment.

This must be

 author = {de Boer, J}

 author = {von Hayek, Friedrich August}

with the extra braces you use, Bib(la)TeX cannot identify the name
prefix.

Make sure to use Biblatex option useprefix=true.

If you use stretch-backports instead of testing, nothing except lyx should be
updated... P

LabelString and Language Question

2019-03-08 Thread Baris Erkus
Hello,

Is there a way to tell LyX not to translate the LabelString (in layout
item) to the language of the file if it is a LyX keyword?

I would like to define a LabelString as "ABSTRACT:", but appearantly it
is a LyX keyword and it converts it to ÖZET:, the Turkish of word
-abstract-, when the file's language is Turkish.

Of Course if I set LabelString to "ABSTRACT: " (with the space added at
the end), it leaves does not do the conversion. This solves my problem,
but I still would like to know...

Any clue?
