For the time being, a workaround solution, based on the comments to this ticket, was to start my local layout like this: --- Counter chapter LabelString "\\arabic{chapter}" End Style Chapter LabelString "\thechapter." TocLevel 0 End --- This solves chapter, section, subsection numbering alike. Thanks a lot!
