I suppose you are looking for 2up printing, as provided by these LaTeX
packages (among others):

* https://ctan.org/pkg/twoinone

* https://ctan.org/pkg/twoupltx

* https://ctan.org/pkg/pfarrei

Most are quite straighforward to use (simply one line to be added to
your preamble)

Pretty much anything is possible with LaTeX. But how to do it? I'd ask
on stack exchange or somewhere like that.

Are you saying that it looks blurry in the LyX editor (but is clear when
the document being edited is compiled), or are you saying that putting
it in a document and compiling that document to PDF results in the
compiled document containing a blurry image?

pd1enc.def is part of the hyperref package, so I'd investigate whether
something went wrong in hyperref update.

I just need to put the page number in the footer, and the current
chapter title on the header. My document is a Standard Book.

Thank you!

Layouts are controlled by a "documentclass". Under Document ? Settings ?
Documentclass it's possible to select any of the documentclasses installed
in your system. There are several "book" documentclasses, the simplest one
being "Standard" and the more powerfull KOMA-Script. All documentclasses
can be modified through code, so which documentclass is the best for you
depends on your needs. For a simple paperback format, probably Standard
will be the right choice.
