Wolfgang Did you close LyX before removing the folder? I just ran a test on my system (Linux Mint, LyX 2.3.6.1). I edited and viewed a document, then exited LyX. Before LyX shut down, it deleted the temporary directory and all contents. When I opened LyX again, it created a new temporary directory as expected. Paul I waited over night after having finished my work with the lyx document. This morning the tmpbuf folder was still there. I removed the folder and started lyx. Got the same error as mentioned in my last mail. Note, that I can't start the open lyx and I have to restore the removed folder first. Since Paul did not have this problem, and he uses 2.3.6.1 version, I assume it is due to my using the 2.4.0 dev version. I will try on another machine the latest non-dev version and see. My problem is, that I can't run the luatex document properly. I might report about it if I can't manage myself. It should beĀ own by the user. Herbert -- lyx-users mailing list lyx-users@lists.lyx.org http://lists.lyx.org/mailman/listinfo/lyx-users
