well, the problem is solved... I obtained the original Elsevier class files from the conference website http://www.jems08.ie/publications.php (they provided elsart.cls, elsart5.cls). Now that I downloaded them straight from Elsevier I have no more problems... thank you! Alessandro Bob

relyx issue: got CLS, wants LAYOUT

impossible to compile

While trying to build the last version I got the following errors (just a snippet not to clutter too much the message). I have the following RPMs: xforms-1.0-2 xforms-devel-1.0-2 fdesign-1.0-2 (NOT specified in the README, but I discovered to be necessary) gcc --version is 2.96 libstdc++:

Strange as it may seem, I have the opposite problem: I often happen to change a figure (usually I use: insert wide figure Float, and inside: insert graphics), but my change isnt reflected in Ghostview, both by a preview postscript or by an update postscript: I have to exit and restart LyX! Seems
