A couple of years ago, I tried to use Insert/Box/... with colored background. I
wanted to have greyed background for Examples. Didn’t work well... if I
included floating objects (Figures, Tables, etc.), the preview got messed up.
Maybe it works better with floats in ordinary paragraphs – I

I just updated MikTeX after some problems with LyX lately. (LyX 2.2.3, Windows
10, 64 bit).
When trying to preview a LyX document, I get the following error message:

Suddenly, a window pops up and asks me (Yes/No) whether I want to allow MikTeX

popping up every minute or so...

I need to have some symbol to close Examples. Here is what I do:
* I change the first paragraph in an example from Standard to Example.
This allows me to number the example, and I can insert a marker/label so that I
can refer to the

numbered. Nice.
However, If I have a *new* theorem in the subsequent paragraph, this one does
not get numbered!!! At least not in the LyX editor?
