Output track changes in pdf with lyx 1.6 error

Hi Peter, 

my problem is similar with lyx 1.6 and installed packages soul and xcolor
and reconfiguration of lyx and restart of lyx, though the error message is
as follows:
 Changes will not be highlighted in LaTeX output when using pdflatex
because
xcolor and soul are not installed.
Please install both packages or redefine \lyxadded and \lyxdeleted in the
LaTeX preamble.
The latter i would not know how to do.

Any ideas would be very much appreciated!

The dvi shows the tracked changes but I cannot print that file as a pdf due
to an error message .The psi does not work properly at all.
