Yes. Acrobat is a lousy pdf reader - it don't handle bitmap fonts very

other IEEE styles, but also the ACM classes sigplan, acm_proc_article and

this kind of problem that really works. If the space is just enough for
an orphan/widow, but to big to be let empty, well what should LaTeX

Is there any way to pass an optional argument (in square brackets) from LyX
to the \begin{xxx} of the internally used LaTeX environment?

messed up the layout completely, whereas
\usepackage[letterpaper]{typearea}
resulted in a error message that "current" has not been defined.
Any ideas?

It also changed the column width, which resulted in a 7 instead of 5

I just figured out by chance that it is possible to make the name of a
CharStyle disappear in an assignment by right clicking on the affected
word.
This is pretty nice, as I find the extra space taken by the CharStyle
names quite disturbing in the on-screen layout of may text. (I use a

Ah yes, it's a new feature in 1.5, where the toggle state also should be
preserved between sessions.
