Re: Compose key again
I run Lyx 2.0.0 and just upgraded from Ubuntu 11.04 to 11.10. The compose key has stopped working in Lyx (at least I'm quite sure it worked before). The compose key issue has been posted several times, but I haven't found anything that worked. I've followed the instructions on http://wiki.lyx.org/Tips/FixDeadKeysAndCompose SOLVED! It seems that qtconfig is broken (at least on my system). The environment variable QT_IM_MODULE (which I was unaware of) was still set to xim. Added: export QT_IM_MODULE=ibus to ~/.profile, and everything was fine again. - Daniel

Re: Compose key again
Ubuntu upgrades have a tendency to reset your input module to whatever their new default is. I have to reset my input module to XIM otherwise I can't type Cherokee properly every upgrade. I tried im-switch to change the input method; was that what you meant? If I change it to xim the compose key works, but I need iBus to write Hebrew and Greek. Any ideas? Regards, Daniel

Compose key again
Hi, I run Lyx 2.0.0 and just upgraded from Ubuntu 11.04 to 11.10. The compose key has stopped working in Lyx (at least I'm quite sure it worked before). The compose key issue has been posted several times, but I haven't found anything that worked. I've followed the instructions on http://wiki.lyx.org/Tips/FixDeadKeysAndCompose The relevant output from running lyx -dbg 4 is: ../../../../src/frontends/qt4/GuiWorkArea.cpp(1042): count: 1 text: isAutoRepe at: 0 key: 16781600 keyState: ../../../../src/frontends/qt4/GuiKeySymbol.cpp(621): Getting key 16781600, with text '' ../../../../src/frontends/qt4/GuiKeySymbol.cpp(627): Setting key to 16781600, ../../../../src/frontends/qt4/GuiKeySymbol.cpp(642): isOK is 0 I use Caps Lock as compose key. Any ideas what to try next? Regards, Daniel
